4 Great Bridal Shower Venues

Great Bridal Shower Venues

When it’s time for a bridal shower, you’d like to put on a great event – something a little different, something a lot of fun. Here are 4 ideas to help you plan a super bridal shower.

1. A Patio Party. The weather in your area is going to be great, who doesn’t love the casual fun of a patio party. You have all the choices you could ever want. Make it a couple’s shower and get out the corn hole boards, the croquet set and any other outdoor fun. Food’s easy – from favorite dips and chips to burgers on the grill. Or, make it a ladies-only tea party. You can put up tables complete with lace table cloths and fancy dishes with fresh flowers on the tables. Finger sandwiches, scones and, of course, some strawberries are the perfect foods. Get some fake flowers and lots of ribbon and buy inexpensive straw hats and have every guest make one to take home. Gifts are a snap – anything for the outdoors from monogramed beach towels to BBQ tools. Your guests will appreciate how easy it is to buy themed gifts.

2. Yoga Party. Face it. When you’re getting ready for a wedding, there’s stress. So, treat the bride-to-be, the mother of the bride, the mother of the groom and all the bridesmaids and friends to some great relaxation. This is girls only! Hire a yoga instructor who can plan an everyone-can-do-it yoga session and offer some relaxation tips for the guests to take home with them. You can suggest exercise related gifts. When the yoga session is over, offer healthy smoothies and snacks and enjoy!

3. Paint (And Wine). Let the creative juices – and the wine – flow. Take advantage of one of the new, popular girls’ night out treats at a paint and sip studio. You’ll have an instructor who can make even the least artistic guest create a painting worthy of prime wall space. The bride will take home a masterpiece that will always remind her of fun and friends. A studio event – with happy spirts and pourable spirits – will have everyone smiling. Just make sure you choose a studio who will either serve or let you bring your own wine and snacks. Then, break out the paint brushes and the laughter!

4. Bowling Party. No, we’re not kidding! Tie on those shoes and aim for a strike. This one works for just the girls or for couples. If it’s been years since anyone went bowling, all those gutter balls are going to have everyone howling. Make sure you pair the serious bowlers (if there are any) with the newbies! You can have the wedding party competing against the guests or the men can compete against the women. Get some special prizes for the things like the first strike – and the first total miss. After the games, retreat to the restaurant area and enjoy all those cheesy, crispy snacks that you usually avoid along with some cold drinks.

Don’t feel like you have to have a cookie cutter bridal shower. Use your imagination. Talk to local vender – a paint and sip studio, the local bowling alley or any business that can adapt its services to a fun and different shower venue. Or, you can turn your home into a special place. Let your imagination soar and celebrate the happiness ever after still to come!
